We will announce future contests and open reading periods here.
We like language that sings but that is grounded in meaning. Ideas AND things, all in one humble bundle. We’re not the publisher of the contemporary poetry of dissonance, the “skittery poem.” Nor are we the publisher of the old, over-narrated poem anvil. We prefer something in the middle of those two extremes. The same goes for literary fiction: give us work in dialogue with other art, writing with a philosophical bent, and characters who are achingly flawed and reflective enough to know it. Some themes that emerge in our collection of titles are illness, travel, relationships, rural and suburban settings, and motherhood.
